CELLULAR PHYSIOPATHOLOGY RESEARCH GROUP

tornar

Aims

Our group divides its time equally between clinical practice and biomedical research. Our main focuses of research are:  Congenital errors of metabolism and analysis of cellular mechanisms in glucogenosis and lysosomal diseases. Oxidative stress involvement in physiopathology and evolution of several pathologies affecting the childhood such as: Type I diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, obesity and cystic fibrosis. Mechanisms of cellular toxicity in hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. Physiopathology and cellular adaptation in preeclampsia.
