ENDOCRINOLOGY, DIABETES AND METABOLISM RESEARCH GROUP

tornar

Aims

Our research is focused on the field of diabetes mellitus. Proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) is the main cause of blindness in working-age individuals and there is a lack of effective treatment. The main objective in this area is not only to investigate the pathogenesis of PDR and diabetic macular edema, but also to characterize new therapeutic targets.
