Aims

Epidemiology of Nosocomial infections.
-Define a predictive model for preventable and non preventable nosocomial infections. Evaluate risk factors for urinary infection. To determine whether or not there is a correlation between the day of the week when data collection is done and infection rates. Factors involved in SARS dissemination. Perform descriptive studies to investigate accidents by exposure to biological material

Research on vaccination programs.
-Vaccination program effectiveness in special groups; immunogenicity, efficency, and safety of new vaccines; Epidemiology of immunopreventible diseases.

Methods in Epidemiology.
-Studies to evaluate effectiveness of health-care systems; methodology in data analysis.
