Aims

Prognostic factors and treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome and evaluation of survivor after-effects (functional, psychological and life quality). These studies are performed within the GIRA Red and in the network of RESPIRA Cooperative Research Groups in the Carlos III Institute and in collaboration with the Pneumology and Psychiatry Departments.

Coordination of  nosocomial infections surveillance at the UCI (ER) in the European Program HELICS-ICU.
